When winter temperatures hit and your International Harvester refuses to start, that frozen engine block is costing you precious daylight and frustration. This freeze plug block heater gets your tractor ready to work by warming the engine block overnight, so it fires up reliably on those cold mornings when every minute counts. No more cranking forever while burning up your starter—just plug it in the night before and you’ll be ready for chores at first light.

What You’re Getting

  • Powerful 600-watt heating element provides plenty of warmth for even the coldest conditions
  • Standard 120-volt operation plugs into any household outlet or extension cord
  • Freeze plug mount design replaces your existing 1-5/8″ diameter plug—no modifications needed
  • Flexible element positioning lets you point it up or down to fit your setup
  • TISCO quality construction built to handle years of seasonal use

Built for Real Farm Work

This heater fits International Harvester tractors with DSD and ESD engines including the 659 (362 CID 6-cylinder), 660 (363 CID 6-cylinder), and 680 (380 CID 6-cylinder) models. These are the workhorses you depend on for daily chores, hay making, and field work—tractors that need to start reliably regardless of weather conditions.

Made to Last

Farm equipment lives hard lives, and engine heaters see some of the worst conditions. This heater’s designed to handle temperature extremes, moisture, and the vibrations that come with diesel engine operation. The element stays protected while delivering consistent heat to your engine block season after season.

Installation Notes

Install on the left side of your engine in the 2nd or 3rd freeze plug position for best heating coverage. You can orient the element pointing up or down depending on your space constraints. Two heaters work even better for maximum cold-weather protection—one heater warms the engine, but two heaters make sure it starts every time, even when the thermometer drops below zero.
